The Executive Chairman Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS), Mr. Andrew Ayabam has approved termination of contract with revenue consultants, who have failed to comply with the contract terms as at 30th June, 2019.
A statement by legal adviser of the Board, Barr. George Usongu directed the affected consultants who remain engaged to collect and remit all government revenue through the Point-Of-Sales (POS) terminal and BIRS e-bills platform by staff of the service in conjunction with the consultants at all designated inspection points and markets.

He said: “All consultants, who have their contracts terminated, have 14 days to come and clear their indebtedness or face prosecution.
“The general public should therefore take note of the development and pay their taxes through the POS and e-bills platforms in all licensed commercial banks within Nigeria.”
