Popular American music star Akon caused a stir at the popular Idumota Market where he was almost mobbed by a rather surprisingly shocked crowd, save for his security detail.
Akon was spotted chewing on a roasted corn when he made his way through the cheering crowd which had gone into fits of excitement over his suprise visit.
Reports say the pop singer who has traveled across various African countries in Africa recently touched down in Lagos to champion his developmental projects which he intends to replicate across the continent.
One of his well-known initiatives is the Akon Lighting Africa project which started in 2014 which aims to provide electricity by solar energy across Africa.
