Back in April, Wavy The Creator came out with her first (and only) single of the year, the fantastic “Body Deep”. After dropping one of our favourite music videos of 2019 so far, she has now taken an unexpected turn, enlisting Tiwa Savage for the track’s remix.

The “Body Deep” re-up notes changes right from the start, as Spanker’s infectious beat is met by Tiwa Savage announcing that we’re listening to the remix. Through her verse, Tiwa informs a lucky fellow that she’s got her eye on him, and she’ll do anything to have him all to herself.

Although her verse isn’t quite up to the standard we’re used to from Tiwa Savage, who is one of the strongest collaborators in the game, she still does an incredible job on the chorus, reviving the track just in time for Wavy to take over with her original lines.

Promoting the single on her Instagram page, Tiwa Savage explains how this collaboration came about, revealing that she loved the original. Speaking with Konbini about the remix, Wavy The Creator shares a similar story, also adding:

“There is a possibility of a video, we both talked about it. I’m sure people would like it if it happened”

After the enthralling clip Meji Alabi put together the first time, we’re inclined to agree. Here’s hoping we’ll get to see these two stars in action, especially if it ends up being in a clip that’s as weird and wonderful as the video for the original.
