2019 AFCON:Nigeria Defeats Bafana Bafana

Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong fired Nigeria into the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals on Wednesday night with a last-gasp winner in the 89th minute.

The Super Eagles took the lead through Samuel Chukwueze in the first half but were pegged back in the second period by Bongani Zungu,thanks to Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decision.

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has named an unchanged starting XI for the national team’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) quarterfinal against Nigeria at Cairo International Stadium.

Gernot Rohr made two changes to his starting XI,introducing Samuel Chukwueze and Jamilu Collins  while Mikel sat on the bench.

Nigeria will now play the winner between Algeria and Ivory Coast, for a place in the final.
