Breaking News: APC Begins Sale Of Forms For Bayelsa, Kogi Guber Elections

According to Punch Metro, the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress has begun the sale of nomination forms for its governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.

The party fixed the cost of the nomination form at N22.5m. The form would start selling from July 10 (Wednesday).

According to a statement by its National Organising Secretary, Emma Ibediro, the Expression of Interest goes for N2.5m while the nomination form is N20m.

The statement read, “In line with the provision of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission guidelines, the All Progressives Congress hereby releases this time-table and schedule of activities for the conduct of the 2019 Governorship Primary Elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.”

The statement said the sale of forms at the APC National Secretariat would begin on Wednesday, July 10 and end on August 20.

It added that the last day for submission of completed forms would be August 21 while the screening of aspirants would begin next day and screening of appeal would start on August 23.

“The primary election holds August 29 while election appeal is September 2.

“There shall be no separate charge for deputy.  All payments should be made in full directly into the designated bank accounts of the All Progressives Congress,”the statement said.
