Wizkid and Davido are two of the most popular afropop stars working today, and given this, it’s a little shocking that they’ve never collaborated before. Well, it looks like that won’t be the case for much longer, as they seem to have teased an impending team-up on social media.

Two years ago, Wizkid and Davido fans couldn’t dream of the possibility of a collaboration, given their turbulent relationship. They never passed up an opportunity to throw shots at each other, with their supporters consistently arguing about which of them is more talented.

To everyone’s surprise, they sorted out their differences last year, featuring in each other’s headlining concerts over Christmas. Since then, fans have been waiting for their new relationship to translate into a collaboration, and it looks like it’s finally about to happen.

During Davido’s recent headline performance at the OH MY! Music Festival, Wizkid showed up to support him. That gesture led to Davido saying he and the Starboy should “finish” their fans — a statement that has us believing a trip to the studio is right around the corner.

Hopefully, the collaboration drops really soon.
