In comparison to the level regular football is at today, it’s entirely fair to say that beach soccer is at infancy level, therefore needs a lot of work to get more people interested in it.

In that breath, and that’s why the organisation in charge of promoting the sport, Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) has just announced this year’s beach soccer ambassadors and Nigerian star, Abu Azeez is on the list!

According to the BSWW website, their aim is for these newly named ambassadors to help in promoting the sport and encouraging new players and supporters to get involved.

Azeez made the cut alongside 32 other players from different countries of the world. More specifically, the 24-year-old will represent the organisation in Nigeria, by organising beach soccer clinics, presentations and draws.

This is a no brainer, as Azeez is more than worthy of this accolate. He was previously helped Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles secure a spot in the 2019 Beach Soccer World Cup, and scored more than 100 goals for Nigeria!

In addition, he was also nominated for Beach Soccer ‘Goal of the Year’, therefore he’s definitely the man for the job and we’re super proud of him!!
