Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo has reportedly passed away after he posted a video of himself on social media heading to a film location on a boat.

According to reports, the actor and three of his colleagues were returning from a movie shoot in a boat when they encountered an accident and fell into the Anam River in Anambra state.

Sadly, their bodies have been recovered.

Earlier, Junior Pope shared a video of himself on a boat, filmed the previous day, expressing fervent prayers for a safe journey. Tragically, the accident occurred on their return trip today, April 10th.

Sharing the video, he wrote: “See me lamenting……The risk we take to entertain you ; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…… Na wahoooooo …. Who does that ?”

Junior Pope Odonwodo, aged 39, leaves behind his wife and three children.
