Bandits carried out another attack on Friday, targeting the two quiet villages of Maloko and Sulu in the Omupo District of Ifelodun Local Government Area in Kwara State.
Reports indicate that three people, including two females were abducted during the attack, but the male among them escaped.
Hunters and vigilantes went on their trail, rescued the two females and apprehended the suspected bandits.
According to unconfirmed reports, one of the bandits was gunned down during an exchange of fire.
Efforts to reach the Kwara State police command’s spokesperson, Ejire Adeyemi Toun, proved abortive.
