
Duoye Diri, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Bayelsa governorship, has been sworn in as the governor of Bayelsa for a second term following his victory on November 11.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including APC national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, as well as his wife, Patience Jonathan, among others.
Yenagoa, the state’s capital, witnessed a massive turnout of jubilant citizens, adorned in colorful attire, who gathered to celebrate and thank God for the governor’s re-election in the November 11, 2023 election.
