A woman who suffered burns and died in an accident has resurrected.
On February 1, the woman reportedly suffered severe burns covering half her body in a home fire. She was then rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Despite her return home in a critical condition due to the family’s financial constraints, her health deteriorated rapidly over the following days.
With limited resources preventing her from seeking further medical attention, the woman’s condition worsened, leading her husband, Sibaram Palo, to believe she had succumbed to her injuries.
The heartbroken husband arranged for her to be taken to the cremation ground in a hearse.
“We thought she was dead and informed others in the locality to arrange a hearse van to carry the body to the cremation ground,” Sibaram Palo explained to the Times of India.
Shockingly, the woman, who was already in the hearse and presumed lifeless, opened her eyes just as the funeral pyre was about to be assembled.
K Chiranjibi, a witness who accompanied the woman in the hearse, expressed how frightened and shocked they were when she unexpectedly opened her eyes.
“Initially we were scared as we had never seen such an incident, though we had heard some stories,” Chiranjibi said.
