Since the success of 30 Days In AtlantaAY Makun has inexplicably become a box office juggernaut. Last year, he gave us Merry Men, which went on to become the highest grossing Nollywood film of 2018, so, it comes as no surprise that the hit comedy is getting a sequel.

On Instagram, AY announced that he’s currently filming Merry Men 2, sharing some BTS shots. As a nod to the original Merry Men from Robin Hood, the film follows group of eligible bachelors who have made it their mission to steal from Nigeria‘s corrupt elite in order to give back to the poor.

From the photos shared, we can see that their plans succeeded in the first film, and they seem to be enjoying a sunny holiday with their significant others. Joining the returning cast — Falz, AY, Ramsey Nouah, Jim Iyke and more — will be Williams Uchemba and ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Alex.
