Nollywood actor, Jerry Williams has voluntarily admitted himself to a rehab facility for drug addiction following his suspension from acting by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
KanyiDaily recalls that AGN said they took the decision to suspend Jerry Williams after observing his involvement in illicit substances and deeming him a risk to himself and other actors on set.
According to NollyNow, an insider confirmed that Jerry Williams is currently undergoing intensive therapy at an undisclosed rehab center, focusing on his health and recovery.
The source further revealed that Jerry Williams’ colleagues had previously advised him to abstain from drug abuse, but their efforts were in vain.
Despite the challenging situation, popular actor and film director, Ugezu J. Ugezu expressed confidence that Jerry Williams would overcome this difficult phase.
Sharing some photos which he posed alongside the embattled actor, Ugwzu wrote, “It will end in praise. My son @official jerrywilliaims. This is just a phase that we must overcome.
“There is nothing we have not seen before. By Chi Ukwu Okike Abiama, Olisabuluwa Chukwu Umuaro, your best is yet to come,” Ugeze wrote on IG.
KanyiDaily recalls that actor, Uche Maduagwu had also called on the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to suspend his colleague, Yul Edochie, and his second wife, Judy Austin.
