Since the start of the year, Lady Donli has been teasing the release of her debut album, Enjoy Your Life, recently revealing that GMK is almost done with his finishing touches. Now, with anticipation steadily building, she’s gifted fans with a little throwaway track, “Comforter”.

Opening with Latin-influenced strings, right before the Jms-produced beat kicks off, the impressive “Comforter” is a track that’s clearly inspired by the mid-noughties, reminiscent of the styles of the varying pop stars who dominated that period — from P-Square to Christina Milian.

On the track, Lady Donli tells her lover she is ready, willing and able to play the role of his comforter. Asserting that she doesn’t need stability, instead offering herself up as a cradle to rock her lover to sleep, “Comforter” sees Lady Donli flaunting her clever lyricism and vocal prowess.
