Kogi APC picks NUT chair as Ododo’s running mate

The Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union Of Teachers,  Joel  Oyibo, has been unveiled as the running mate to Alhaji Usman  Ododo, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the November governorship election.

The party unveiled Oyibo at a well-attended occasion held at the Glass House, Government House.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, described the combination of Ododo and Oyibo as what Kogi State needs moving forward, urging the people of the state to buy into the aspiration of the APC flag-bearers.

“This is the team to beat; the APC will win overwhelmingly because Kogi State is for the APC; it is a party loved by the people,” the governor said.

In his remarks, the Kogi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, said Oyibo was picked as Ododo’s running mate through a painstaking process.

On his part,  Ododo said his running mate had all it takes to make the governorship ticket solid.

Oyibo promised to justify his nomination by adding value to the APC ticket.
