In the past month, GoldLink has worked with Maleek Berry and Santi, making it pretty obvious that the Grammy nominee has an appreciation for Nigerian talent. So, it’s no surprise that he enlisted one of our very best, Wizkid, for “No Lie” — a standout off his new album, Diaspora.

On the mellow track, which was co-produced by P2J (Tiwa Savage’s “Get It Now”), GoldLink delivers confident bars, bragging about everything from his work ethic (“Still be rappin’ like I’m broke”) to his meteoric rise (“Went from duckin’ coppers, now we duckin’ paparazzi”).

Wizkid flawlessly tackles the chorus, infusing the song with the same infectious energy he’s brought to recent hits like Skepta’s “Energy (Stay Far Away)” and Starboy’s “Soco”. Like GoldLink, he also goes on a bragging spree, singing about the realness of his craft and the loyalty of his crew.

On the rest of the Diaspora album, which also includes features from Khalid, Pusha T and Tyler, The Creator, GoldLink is equally as impressive, reaffirming what his debut LP, At What Cost, proved: he is one of the most exciting newcomers hip-hop has gotten in quite some time.
