Emmanuella Mayaki: The Nigerian coding kid genius who’s taking the world by storm

At just ten years old, Emmanuella Mayaki has already achieved more than most people do in a lifetime. A native of Nigeria, she has been hailed as a child prodigy and a coding genius, and her accomplishments have earned her international recognition and accolades.

Born in 2011, Emmanuella was introduced to coding by her father , John Mayaki, who is a diplomat and a media communications expert himself ,when Emmanuella was six years old. She showed a natural talent for the subject, and her father enrolled her in a coding camp for kids in Lagos, where she excelled.

Since then, Emmanuella has continued to excel in her passion for coding, mastering multiple programming languages and developing her own websites and apps. She has a training programme where she teach coding to other kids at her school and in her community, inspiring a new generation of young tech enthusiasts like herself.

The achievements of Emmanuella haven’t gone unnoticed. In 2019, she was named one of the youngest Microsoft Certified Professionals in the world, passing the certification exam with flying colors. Emmanuella’s talents also caught the attention of the United Nations, which named her an SDG Ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals. In this role, she has advocated for the use of technology to address global challenges and promote social progress.
