Nigeria’s Muhammad-Bande wins UNGA President

The Nigerian Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Professor Tijani Muhammad-Bande would be succeeding the incumbent UNGA President, Ms Maria Espinosa, who had on her visit to Nigeria expressed her expectation to be succeeded by a Nigerian since the next UNGA President was zoned to Africa, according to her.

The election of the President of the 74th UNGA President was hold at the UN headquarters on Tuesday, June 4.

National Daily recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari had dispatched a high powered delegation of the federal government to lobby for the election of Muhammad-Bande for the UNGA President.
