Following two memorable singles, “Greaze Mode” and “Bullet In The Gun”, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Skepta‘s fifth studio album, Ignorance Is Bliss. Well, the 13-track project is finally here, along with a creative and engaging video for “Greaze Mode”.
Released only a few hours apart, “Bullet From A Gun” is a pensive and powerful track, while the Nafe Smallz-assisted “Greaze Mode” is a more party-friendly bop, upon which Skepta maintains his usual stellar penmanship and impeccable flow.
The video for “Greaze Mode” stars the British-Nigerian rapper as a ’70s-style gangster, who is robbing a bank. He conducts this stick up with collaborator, Nafe Smallz, as they rap about life experiences, delivering several Instagram caption-ready lyrics.

Shortly after the video dropped, the album was released, filled with tracks reaffirming Skepta’s abundant talent. With standouts such as the J Hus-assisted “What Do You Mean” and “Glow In The Dark” featuring Wizkid, he’s delivered a fantastic body of work.
With most songs written and produced by him, we see a different side to the grime star. While his last album, Konnichiwa, was filled with light-hearted bangers, Ignorance is Bliss sees Skepta going for something much more introspective, and the project soars because of it.
