Watch The Official Trailer For Bolanle Austen-Peters’ ‘The Bling Lagosians’

Bolanle Austen-Peters, known for creating fantastic stage productions, such as  Saro, Waka and Moremi, is set to unveil her directorial debut, The Bling Lagosians. A few months ago, we got a short teaser that got us excited, and now, as the release date nears, an official trailer has dropped.

The Bling Lagosians tells the story of a powerful Lagos socialite, who is planning a flamboyant and expensive party for her 51st birthday. While her husband struggles to prevent their family’s huge debt from being exposed, she fecklessly continues planning, leaving room for all sorts of doom. 

Bolanle Austen-Peters’ says her vision for The Bling Lagosians is to create something that’s reflective of her Lagos experience, and in that breath, the trailer reveals the party preparations, showing the robust cast as they carry out their day-to-day in the run-up to the party. 

With a star-studded cast that includes Toyin Abraham, Jide Kosoko, Bisola Aiyeola, Denola Grey, Monalisa Chinda, Osas Ighodaro Ajibade, Sharon Ooja, Helen Paul, Alex Ekubo and many more, we’re definitely excited for the film’s June 28 release.
