Piper Chapman’s time at Litchfield is over, and we’ll soon have to say goodbye to the other prisoners in Orange Is the New Black as well. Netflix has revealed that the final season will be available on July 26, and the announcement came with a few images and a moving clip.

In the clip, we see the stars, Uzo Aduba, Danielle Brooks, Dascha Polanco, Laura Prepon and Taylor Schilling all singing the chorus to Regina Spektor’s “You’ve Got Time” — the show’s theme song. Creator and showrunner, Jenji Kohan even makes a cameo appearance.

The synopsis for Season 7 promises a whole lot of drama: Piper is fighting to rejoin society; the situation at Litchfield has become increasingly volatile; the friendship between Taystee and Cindy is about to implode; and Gloria and her cooks are subjected to strict new rules.

Although Netflix’s prison drama is coming to an end this summer, production company Lionsgate TV hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a spin-off. Nothing has been decided yet, but Jenji Kohan is still involved in the negotiations, despite her numerous other projects.

As a reminder, Orange Is the New Black features 91 episodes over seven seasons, and the acclaimed show has received 19 nominations for the Emmy Awards, including two awards for Nigerian-American standout, Uzo Aduba in the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ category.
