Last month, one of Nigeria‘s most talented acts, Praiz treated us to some new music, “Hustle” — an uplifting single featuring Ghana’s Stonebwoy. Looking to further promote the bright and inspiring track, Praiz has emerged once more with an equally uplifting music video.
The video for “Hustle” depicts the everyday Lagosian working hard, singing along to the hopeful lyrics. As Praiz and Stonebwoy narrate their individual rags-to-riches stories, those who are yet to make it are captured praying to also be free from the shackles of poverty.
Between shots of the bubbling city and its industrious citizens, we see Praiz and Stonebwoy perform their vibrant track, firstly on a rooftop and then in a studio. These shots of them in concert draw our attention to the incredible vocal performances we hear on the track.
Impressively directed by Adasa Cookey, the video for “Hustle” illuminates the song’s uplifting message, really inviting listeners to meditate on the duo’s words — telling everyone to work hard and consistently in order to rise above their current socio-economic status.
