As we are well into the month of May, it is safe to say that summer is here, and in the world of music, that means just one thing: an influx of spritely songs promoting inhibited fun and prohibiting any form of negativity.

To usher in the season, Jamaican act, Alkaline and Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire have teamed up with Runtown on what seems set to be one of 2019’s biggest anthems, “No Negative Vibes”

Produced by Walshy Fire, “No Negative Vibes” sees Runtown and Alkaline living their lives to the fullest. Runtown opens the track with a smooth chorus and verse, thanking God for the blessing of another day; while Alkaline lets us know that he has no time for negative vibes.

The video for “No Negative Vibes” takes us to the streets of Jamaica, showing us their time in the studio, as well as the fun they had on the island. Meji Alabi excellently illustrates the excitement the season brings, gearing us up, along with the tune, for everyone’s favourite time of the year.
