As is customary for any prominent afropop artist, Mayorkun has spent this year using his star power to bring lesser-known acts to the forefront of Nigerian music. He did so alongside Peruzzi on Flowolf’s commendable track, “No Shaking”, and he does so again on Drizzle‘s “Bola”.
Produced by Dapiano, “Bola” hosts a lively beat on top of which Drizzle and Mayorkun pine after the lucky ladies stuck on their mind. While Drizzle begs Bola to stop fronting, serenading her with proclamations of his affection, Mayorkun offers to shower his lover with whatever she desires.
Set in an office, the accompanying video for “Bola” depicts Drizzle and Mayorkun bonding with their office flings. After the titular Bola agrees to be with Drizzle, Mr C’s direction takes us through intimate shots of the couple before circling back to the office party celebrating their union.
