Vector & WurlD Team Up On Ananya Barla’s Fantastic Song, ‘Blackout’

We’re already used to seeing our Nigerian artists nab international collaborations with British or American stars. Well, WurlD and Vector have bucked that growing trend by teaming up with Indian superstar, Ananya Birla for her fantastic new single, “Blackout“.

WulrD is one of the most talented singers in the industry, and Vector’s rap prowess is undeniable. Given this, it makes sense that they were enlisted for this song. While “Blackout” takes both artists out of their comfort zone — it’s a hardcore pop track — they still deliver.

Speaking about the song, Ananya said:

“I had always wanted to incorporate rap and hi- hop into one of my songs, and it was awesome to work with Vector and WurlD on this.

I’m a big believer that music is the ultimate global language and collaborating with artists from all over the world is a big part of that.”

On the breezy track, Ayana starts off with a stellar verse before launching into the catchy chorus. Against a hip-hop infused beat, produced by DJ Buddha, Vector steals the show with his incredible flow and witty bars, before WurlD offers a bridge to close out the song.
