Watch The Ferocious Video For D-O & Santi's Anthemic Hit, 'Pull Up'

Late last year, D-O dropped his fantastic mixtape, Everything Pretty, which gave us a solid idea of his place in our evolving music industry. The debut project’s standout track was the Santi-assisted “Pull Up“, and that energetic gem has now gotten an equally energetic video.

D-O’s aim for the entire project was to pump other young people with enough self-confidence to take on the world. On “Pull Up”, he and Santi send a message across to their haters, telling them that while they’d rather have peace, they are very ready to take on anyone who tries them.

Speaking to Konbini about the song, D-O said:

“This song is an anthem for anyone who is struggling and feeling intimidated by the world. I’m basically telling people to fuck off cause we’re ready for war.

When Santi heard it, he insisted on jumping on it, so we could create an anthem for people to hear and just feel gassed about themselves.

I’ve been making music since 2012, and this is me in my best possible form. This is the height of my ability for now, and I really love this song.”

For the fantastic, Ademola Falomo-directed music video, we follow D-O, Santi and company around a dimly-lit, setting before they head out to what we imagine is a war zone — with comrades who look more than ready to pull up.
