A few days ago, Tory Lanez teased a refix of Starboy’s “Soco“, announcing that it will be a part of his then-upcoming mixtape, International Fargo. Now, he’s finally dropped the project, and it not only features the “Soco” refix, but it also includes a refix of Davido‘s “Fall”.
Tory Lanez is one of the most versatile artists working today, and this project is just another indication of his impressive range. On International Fargo, the Grammy nominee showcases his ability to work with an array of different sounds without sounding out of his element.
“Soco” was one of the biggest Nigerian songs last year, and two years after its release, “Fall” is still gaining a lot of momentum and topping international charts. Given this, it makes sense that Tory Lanez chose these songs for his mixtape, and he did a great job with the remixes.
For “Fall”, he keeps the original Kiddominant-produced beat and Davido’s infectious hook, while singing his own verses. He switches things up a bit on “Soco”, however, and makes it sound like a completely different song, singing throughout and only keeping the original Northboi beat.
