The parents of the abducted students of the College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka in Kaduna State Tuesday protested at the Assembly complex, Abuja on Tuesday.

Students Union Government (SUG) members of the school also took part in the revolt.

The protesters shouted in unison solidarity songs and displayed placards to communicate their dissatisfaction with the way the Nigerian government is handling the abduction of their children and colleagues.

The protesters accused the government of carelessness.

Human rights activists, Omoyele Sowore and Deji Adeyanju, who joined in the protest also conveyed dissatisfaction with the handling of security by the government.

The protesters were denied access to the premises by the security operatives at the entrance of the assembly complex.

Thirty-nine students of the school were abducted from their hostels by bandits dressed in military uniform on March 11, ten of them were later released in two batches of five each, leaving 29 students left with their abductors.
