With Nigeria‘s general elections holding tomorrow, politics is certainly in the air. Earlier this week, we received the trailer for Kate Henshaw’s upcoming film, 4th Republic, and now we’ve gotten the trailer for Mike-Steve Adeleye’s Code Wilo, another politically inclined story.
The trailer for Code Wilo depicts the kidnapping of a female gubernatorial candidate, whose abduction has caused a flurry of unease amongst the political elites and the law enforcement in the state.
Code Wilo will portray the violence surrounding electoral periods and the chaos that typically ensues before major election days. The film is shot predominantly in Bayelsa State, with shots that emphasise the state’s beautiful landscape.
The film will star a bunch of Nollywood faves, such as Gbenga Titiloye, Bikiya Graham-Douglas, Eucharia Anunobi, Gabriel Afolayan, Daniel Etim and more. No official release date has been announced, but we can’t wait to see this timely drama.
