A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun state, Prince Ayoade Adewopo has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke on his victory at the Osun Governorship Election Tribunal recently.

Adewopo’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement he signed and issued to journalists.

Here is the full congratulatory message:

“Your Excellency and My dear Governor-in-waiting, distinguished Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke:

“Congratulations on the well deserved victory at the Tribunal yesterday. The decision of the Tribunal has re-echoed the will of the good people of Osun who spoke at the September 2018 election. As far as the people of our state are concerned, you were elected as their Governor. As you rightly said in your press interview immediately after the judgment, the tribunal’s decision is a victory for democracy.

“They say we should not celebrate. Your excellency, I say without apology, we celebrate this decision and shall continue to do so even up to the Supreme Court (if and when they take their appeal there), as your God-given mandate is reclaimed sooner than later.

“May I again offer my congratulations on your victory at the Tribunal. Please accept my best wishes and the assurances of my highest consideration.”
