Atletico striker, Moussa Dembele has tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus disease.

His club in a statement released on Thursday said the squad underwent testing on Wednesday, from which “Moussa Dembele’s result came back positive.

According to the statement, Dembele is currently isolating in his home while strictly complying to the recommendations by health officials.

“Moussa Dembele had a positive result for the coronavirus infection after the squad underwent a PCR test.

“The striker remains isolated at his home, strictly complying with the recommendations of the health authorities and La Liga protocol,” the statement said.

Dembele joined Atletico on loan in January from Lyon until the end of the season but is yet to make an appearance for the La Liga leaders.
