Killer Herdsmen Crisis: FG receives investigative report

The Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, has acknowledged the receipt of committee investigation report on killer herdsmen and the their relationship with farmer by Federal Government, assuring that the FG is keen on finding a lasting solution to the farmers-herders crisis which has taken on a deadly dimension in some parts of the country.

Dan-Ali receiving the report of the committee set up by the FG to investigate the causes of the conflict and proffer possible solutions on Monday in Abuja, said that despite the possibility of using technological innovation to change the trend, existing cultural practices might make it complex.

The committee was inaugurated on September11, 2018, and made up of members from the Ministry of Defence, Defence Intelligence Agency, and representatives of farmers and herders associations.
