Man Strangles Pregnant Woman To Death For Refusing Him S*x

A suspect identified as Timring Napkur has said he attacked, strangled and drowned a pregnant woman in a river because she refused to have s*x with him.

Daily Trust reports that Nakpur of Gangnim village of Langtang South Local Government attacked the deceased identified as Zainab Abu at a riverside in Gangnim village when she went to wash her clothes along with her two daughters.

“I have been eyeing and monitoring her for too long, so I followed her when I noticed she was on her way to the river. I approached her and asked her to allow me to make love with her, but she refused and even pushed me into the river,” he said.

“From that we started fighting and, in the process, I pushed her into the river where she was drowned, I didn’t rape her as widely reported,” he added.

But the Police Commissioner, Isaac Akinmoyede, during a press conference in Jos on Wednesday said on 28th February 2019, Timring Napkur of Gangnim village Langtang South Local Government attacked a 7- month old pregnant woman Zainab Abu at a riverside where she went to wash her cloths along with her two daughters.

He said, “The suspect raped the victim, strangulated and pushed her into the river where she got drowned and died.”

The CP said the victim’s two daughters Aije, 7,  and Khadija, 4,  escaped and reported the crime to their father, adding the “suspect would be prosecuted after police investigation.
