With her 2016 debut single, “Pay Attention” — an emotive piece which advocates for freedom from oppression — Burna Boy’s younger sister, Nissi displayed her undeniable talent as a singer, as well as her intent to veer away from the norm.
For her latest single, “Over Here” she reinforces this unique musical identity, proving she is one to watch.

Aside from the climactic chorus, “Over Here” uses an unshowy beat, leaving plenty of room for Nissi to flaunt her voice. On the commendable pop song, Nissi promises to guide us away from the rules and complications, as her words lead us into the vibe of our lives.
For the accompanying music video, Nissi invites herself to tea, enjoying the vibe she describes on the song exclusively with herself. Sanaa Abstrakt’s direction is pretty simple, however, the video is still rather engaging, owing to the trippy editing style adopted.
