President of the United States (US), Donald Trump has left the Walter Reed National Medical Center, where he was hospitalized after being diagnosed of COVID-19 and experiencing a fever and was given supplemental oxygen treatments.
He walked out of the doors and got into a motorcade vehicle for the short drive to his helicopter Marine One.
“Thank you,” he said to reporters without stopping to take questions.
Earlier on Monday, Trump played down the threat of the virus, which has killed 209,000 people in the US.
“Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life,” he tweeted.
His physician, Sean Conley, told the media that the president will be monitored closely at the White House.
