Legendary Brazil and Barcelona star Rivaldo says Arsenal should be one of the sides Philippe Coutinho should consider joining to resurrect his faltering career.
Coutinho looks set to leave Barcelona this summer after failing to live up to his £130million price tag at the club.
The 28-year-old was sent on loan to Bayern Munich this season and initially got off to a promising start in Germany, only for injuries to keep him out of the side when Bundesliga football returned after the coronavirus pandemic in May.

Barcelona are desperate to offload him for good in the summer transfer window, yet Bayern are reportedly uninterested in securing a permanent deal.
Rivaldo, 2002 FIFA World Cup winner, believes Coutinho should head back to the Premier League and named named Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester as ideal destinations for his compatriot, suggesting all three sides could offer him more regular first-team football.
“Philippe Coutinho will soon return from his loan at Bayern to Barcelona, but I doubt he can revive his career there,” Rivaldo told Betfair.
“His best option could be returning to English football where he spent the best seasons of his career and in which his qualities seem to be best suited, as he proved at Liverpool when was one of the best players in the Premier League.
“At Arsenal, Tottenham or Leicester, Coutinho could be a regular starter next season.
“It would be a good opportunity for the Brazillian to rediscover his best form and show that he continues to be an excellent player who belongs to the elite.”
Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, recently revealed his client’s future will be resolved once the Champions League has concluded on August 23.
“Because the Champions League is going to run all the way until August 23, I think it will be difficult for players like Coutinho to make any commitment or move until that date,” Joorabchian told talkSPORT on Tuesday.
“He has the Champions League at the moment and they have to qualify for the next round [against Chelsea], and then he could play Barcelona, believe it or not.
“After the Champions League, it’s not been a secret that he wants to come back to the Premier League if he can; he loves playing in the Premier League and is adored in the Premier League.”
