Go Round FC of Omoku’s striker Adeseun Adelani has assured fans of the club that his strike against Kano Pillars last Wednesday in a Matchday 6 Nigerian Professional Football League game is the first of many to come reports Completesports.com.

The 19-year old scored a wonderful overhead kick to break Kano Pillars’ resistance and earned a 2-1 win which was the team’s first home victory of the season.

Speaking to Completesportsnigeria.com, Adelani who was playing in just his second game of the current campaign reckons that if he gets the chance to play more then he’s sure to score.

“The coaches pick the team and I can only play when they say so but each time I get to play I try my possible best to score. Hopefully I can get more opportunities to show what I’m capable of doing,” he began.

Adelani, who’s in just his second season in the Nigerian top-flight, rates his goal against Kano Pillars as one of the best of his career.

He said: “I’ve scored one or two that I considered better so I would say it is the third best I’ve scored but this is the most important in my NPFL career. Hopefully this is the first of many to come this season.”

The former Gateway FC of Abeokuta striking sensation is also hopeful of playing his way into the national team.

“I’m happy that the Flying Eagles have qualified for the U-20 World Cup and I’m sure the coaches would want to fortify the team.

“If I continue playing and scoring then I will be in a good position to get an invite. But first things first, I need to tie down a regular shirt with my club and score goals,” he concluded.

Adelani is in Jos where Go Round FC will play Plateau United on Sunday.
