The Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Kayode Egbetokun, has warned kwarans who are creating social media accounts with his details.

The CP on Monday noted that some unscrupulous elements in the state have created various social media using his pictures.

Mr Egbetokun in a statement released through the command spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi, in Ilorin condemned that fraudulent act, he said “one of such is a Facebook account with the name Kpansa Terhem using the picture of the commissioner of police for obvious sinister motives.”

“The command wishes to state in unambiguous terms that the commissioner of police does not operate any Facebook account and as such wishes to warn the general public to beware of the antics of these social media bullies and fraudsters so as not to fall for their tricks.”

The command also called on the people of Kwara to ignore any request coming from anyone using the name or pictures of CP Kayode Egbetokun in any social media accounts.

Mr Okasanmi urged them to report to the police public relations office of the Kwara state police command.
