Balogun was replaced by Kal Naismith in the 69th minute of Wigan Athletic’s 1-0 away win at West Bromwich Albion last Saturday due to illness.
”Leon Balogun came off due to illness midway through the second half in Latics’ 1-0 win away at West Bromwich Albion last Saturday, but is set to continue in defence against Luton Town,”reads a statement on the club’s website on Friday.
The 31-year-old has featured in five league games since linking up with the Latics on a six-month loan deal from Brighton & Hove Albion on transfer deadline day.
The centre-back was on Wednesday named in Nigeria’s squad for this month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against the Leone Stars of Liberia.
Wigan are unbeaten in their last three Championship games.
