When it comes to UFC betting, the popularity of a fighter isn’t good enough reason to place a wager on them. The average odds of some top fighters are lower than that of several underdogs.

Before you bet on or against a fighter, check out different sportsbooks and betting sites to see which ones offer the best ufc odds.

In this article, we’ll only discuss five of the greatest UFC fighters ever.

  1. 5. Fedor Emelianenko

Fedor is one of the best MMA fighters there is. His greatest talents feature his mastery of Judi and Sambo, so it’s not so surprising that he’s a four-time World Sambo Champion.

Fedor made his debut in Pride FC in 2002, after winning the RINGS tournament and two gold medals at the World Sambo Championship.

He recorded his first loss when he fought against Japanese MMA professional Tsuyoshi Kohsaka in 2000 — a match whose ending remains controversial to date.

Thereafter until June 2010, Fedor remained undefeated in the next 28 fights which included his victories against some UFC champions of that era.

  1. 4. Demetrious Johnsondemetrious-johnson-ufc

Demetrious began his career in 2007. Since then, he has set and broken several UFC records, including the UFC record for the most consecutive title defenses, which he currently holds with a whopping 11 defenses.

Demetrious became the first-ever UFC Flyweight champion when he beat Joseph Benevidez by split rule in 2012. He then ruled the Flyweight category for nearly six years before losing the championship title to Henry Cejudo at UFC 220 on August 4, 2018.

Shortly after his defeat, Demetrious left UFC for ONE Championship, and in the following years, he has won the Flyweight Grand Prix and is set for the Flyweight title later this year.

  1. 3. Anderson Silva

In the third position is Anderson Silva, the first and only UFC fighter to have garnered 16 consecutive wins over 2,457 days, setting the record for the longest title streak in UFC history.

Although his title reign ended when he lost to Chris Weidman on July 6, 2013, at UFC 162 via KO in the second round.

Anderson began his professional career in the welterweight category of 1997 with a pair of wins. This former UFC Middleweight champion has beaten several successful fighters in his league, including the then-undefeated Shooting champion Hayato Sakurai.

To date, Anderson has amassed 34 wins (22 of which were knockouts) and four submissions.

  1. 2. Jon Jonesjon-jones-ufc

This two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion is popularly known for his brutal and dramatic takedowns. Jon made his professional MMA debut in April 2018 in a match against Brad Bernard, which he won by TKO (Technical Knockout).

He later joined the UFC and won his first fight which was against Andre Gusmao at UFC 87 by decision. Jon has faced and beaten several UFC favorites, including the stalwart Daniel Cormier and former training partner Rashad Evans.

His recent fight against Dominick Reyes was a showdown that kept viewers glued to their seats and pulsating with excitement. Although Jon emerged as the winner in the end by unanimous decision, he has hinted at a rematch with Dominick which he claims will be epic.

  1. 1. George St Pierregeorge-St-pierre-ufc

George is arguably one of the best MMA and UFC fighters of all time. Before he announced his retirement on February 22, 2019, George garnered many UFC records, including the one for the most title defenses in the UFC welterweight category with nine defenses.

His epic win over Michael Bisping in 2017 made him the middleweight champion and the fourth fighter in UFC history to win titles in multiple categories. To date, George has the highest number of takedowns (90) and the second-longest winning streak (13).
