Odey Targets Swiss Cup Semi-Final Berth With FC Zurich

Nigeria forward Stephen Odey is determined to secure a place in the semi-final of the Swiss Cup with FC Zurich, Completesports.com reports.

FC Zurich will be up against SC Kriens in the quarter-final today (Thursday) at their homeground, the Stadion Letzigrund, Zurich.

And Odey who is eagerly looking forward to the highly anticipated clash is ready to help his club move into the next round of the competition.

“Another Matchday is upon us today against SC Kriens in the quarter-final of the prestigious Swiss Cup. Can’t wait to get the semi-final ticket.??????,” he tweeted.

Odey has contributed immensely to FC Zurich’s progress in the competition this season scoring three goals in three appearances.

The 21-year-old has also scored seven times and provided two assists in 22 league appearances for FC Zurich this season.

His other goal came in the Europa League where he was on target once in eight games before FC Zurich’sbouster from the competition after defeat to Italian club Napoli in the round of 32.

The former MFM FC Lagos star is looking forward to earning a recall to the Super Eagles for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Seychelles and the friendly fixtture against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
