Flying Eagles head coach Paul Aigbogun says his side is firmly focused on getting a win in Tuesday’s Group A clash against the Amajita of South Africa at the Africa U -20 Nations Cup in Niger, reports Completesports.com.
Aigbogun ‘ s charges started their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win against Burundi at the Seyni Kountche Stadium on Saturday with Nazifu Yahaya and Effiom Maxwell scoring the two goals in the second half.
A win against the South Africans who held hosts Niger to a 1-1 draw in the competition’s opening game on Saturday will see the seven-time champions book a spot in the last four and a place in May’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
And Aigbogun stated that his team will go all out for a win in the crucial encounter billed for the Seyni Kountche Stadium.
” We are entering a second game that will be different from the first which we won,”Aigbogun told reporters in Niamey on Monday.
“I can’t say that our team will play in the same style as against Burundi but we know one thing; we are here to qualify for the World Cup.”
Hosts Niger will take on Burundi in the group’s other game also on Tuesday.
