
Kenneth Omeruo has expressed his disappointment despite Leganes scoring a late equalizer to earn a point in their 1-1 home draw against Valencia at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque, Leganes on Sunday, reports completesports.com
France midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia gave Valencia the lead in the 22nd minute but the hosts rallied back to earn a share of the spoils with Martin Braithwaite equalising a minute from time.
Omeruo who is loan at Leganes from Chelsea is however distraught his team failed to record a win in the clash.
“We keep going… seguimos adelante ??????. 1-1 disappointed not to get all 3 points..,”he tweeted.
Omeruo who put up a solid display in the game has made 18 league appearances for Leganes this season but is yet to find the back of the net.
The result boosted Leganes survival hopes as Manuel Pellegrino’s men now occupy 12th position in the table with 30 points, seven points off the relegation zone.
They will host Levante at home next week Monday at home in game will see Omeruo come up against his international teammate Moses Simon.
