Martin Odegaard has said he and his Arsenal teammates are not bothered about other teams in the Premier League torke race as they are only focused on their own task.

The Gunners missed the chance to close the gap on Liverpool after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham at Craven Cottage.

A win for Mikel Arteta’s men would have seen them cut the Reds’ lead to four points. Arne Slot’s men were not in action this weekend as their derby clash with Everton was called off due to poor weather conditions.

After drawing against Fulham, Arsenal dropped to third place after Chelsea staged a dramatic 4-3 comeback win against Tottenham Hotspur.

Reacting to Arsenal’s game with Fulham, Odegaard described it as frustrating for them.

“We dominated most of the game,” the Norwegian skipper was qouted on Arsenal News Centra. “The first half wasn’t great. We were a bit sloppy and lacked energy and power. The second half was a lot better. It’s frustrating not to win. We were close in the end with the goal.

“They’re a good team. They know how to defend. A solid block. We didn’t do enough today. We have to learn from that and straight back in for the next one. We have to focus on ourselves. We don’t care about the other teams in the title race.”
