CAF Awards 2024: Eguavoen Congratulates Lookman, Troost-Ekong On POTY Nomination

Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has felicitated with Ademola Lookman and William Troost-Ekong following their nomination for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year award.

CAF announced the shortlist for the different categories of the award on Thursday.

The duo are among the 10 players in contention for the prestigious Men’s Player of the Year crown.

The other nominees are; Amine Gouiri, Edmond Tapsoba, Simon Adingra, Chancel Mbemba, Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi, Soufiane Rahimi and Rowen Williams.

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen won the award last year.

Eguavoen celebrated the achievements of the Super Eagles stars in a heartfelt message on X.

“Congratulations to our Super Super Super Eagles duo – Ademola Lookman and William Troost-Ekong on their nomination for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year. A brilliant year for Nigerian football, let’s crown it all with another win in Morocco,” he wrote.

The 2024 CAF Awards will hold in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday, December 16.
