Young tactician Michael Nsien has stated that he is the right man to lead the Super Eagles, reports Completesports.com.

The Nigerian-American is seeking to replace former handler Jose Peseiro.

Peseiro left the post at the end of his contract last month.

A number of coaches are vying for the position after it was declared vacant by the Nigeria Football Federation last week.

Nsien, 43, has however stake claim for the job, claiming he has the needed requirements to manage the Super Eagles.

“I am the best of both worlds,” Nsien during an interview with TVC.

“As a Nigerian-American, I have a passion for the Super Eagles; I also know the responsibilities that come with that position as head coach.

“I have experience working in an environment that spares no expense in technology, has top scouting infrastructure, and coaching collaboration from top to bottom.

“I know where we are at in Nigerian football, and I know the gap that exists. I can bridge the gap and help us reach the level that we should be at in world football. It’s time to change course and move forward. I want to put smiles on the faces of our people.”

Nsien, a former defender, who represented at the U-23 level during his active days is currently head coach of the US U-19 team.
