After losing 2-0 to Mali in their opening encounter, South Africa bounced back to winning ways as they defeated Namibia 4-0 to brighten their chances of qualifying for the knock out stages of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Percy Tau opened the scoring for the Bafana Bafana in the 14th minute through a penalty before Themba Zwane extended the lead to 2-0 in the 25th minute.

However, South Africa took the game beyond their reach when Zwane grabbed his brace in the 40th minute.

Thapelo Maseko put the icing on the cake when he netted a brilliant goal in the 75th minute.

The win put South Africa’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations back on track as the the team move second on the log on three points while Namibia sit third on three points.

South Africa will next face Tunisia in their final group E game while Mali battle Namibia.
