Lobi Stars maintained top spot after edging visiting Plateau United 1-0 in the NPFL on Sunday.

The win took Lobi to 36 points, one point above second placed Remo Stars.

Kumaga Suur got the only goal of the game as his 23rd minute strike was enough to earn all the three points.

Remo kept pace with leaders Lobi thanks to a hard fought 2-1 home win against Abia Warriors.

Dela Akorli gave Remo the lead on 10 minutes before Ahmed Akinyele doubled the lead on 63rd minute.

Sunday Megwo then pulled a goal back for Abia Warriors in the 69th minute.

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars suffered a 2-1 home loss to Enyimba.

Other fixtures saw Akwa United pip Rangers 1-0, Kano Pillars edged Heartland 2-1, Niger Tornadoes and Katsina United played goalless and Bayelsa United held Gombe United to a 1-1.
