Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has won the Premier League playmaker of the season award.
According to PremierLeague.com, De Bruyne won the award after notching 16 assists and scoring seven goals in the Premier League this season.
This the Belgian’s third time of winning the award after bagging the accolade in the 2017/18 and 2019/20 season.
De Bruyne holds the record for the fastest Premier League player to reach 100 assists as it took 327 games for him to reach the landmark.
Out of Haaland’s 16 assists this season, eight were from his Norwegian teammate Erling Haaland who also won the golden boot with a record 36 goals in 35 appearances.
Manchester City won the Premier League trophy for the third season in a row and finished the campaign with a total of 89 points from 38 matches.
