Chelsea Signs Santos From Vasco da Gama

Premier League side, Chelsea, have completed the signing of Brazilian teen star, Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

Chelsea have reportedly disbursed 13 million Euros and will pay 7 million in add-ons for the 18-year-old midfielder.

Santos was said to have been sought after, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City also eyeing a deal for the youngster.

Santos told Chelsea website that he was excited about the opportunity to play in the Premier League.

“It’s a very big opportunity for me,” said Santos.

“This is a big club playing in big competitions like the Premier League, so I am very excited. The players here are so good and I am very happy to be here.”

Santos played for Vasco da Gama’s U-17 team before making his debut for the senior team. He scored eight goals in 38 appearances for the club’s senior team.
